The BeoSound 5 is the part you see and touch: a 10.4-inch 1024×768 display flanked by a heavy machined aluminium wheel that you turn to move through album art, with no touchscreen anywhere in sight. Behind it, the BeoMaster 5 does the work — a hard-disc music server holding the library and connecting to the network over Ethernet, with Master Link and Power Link for the rest of the system. B&O’s MOTS algorithm analyses the music itself rather than its tags, so choosing one track builds a playlist of genuinely similar ones. This set is fitted with the 1 TB drive and comes with the floor stand, which is becoming increasingly rare for these systems.
