The Beo4 is Bang & Olufsen's long-running universal remote — designed by David Lewis and produced from 1994 through to 2010. This example is the Toggle version, known in the B&O collector community as the "MK5" variant. The defining feature is the five-way navigation toggle button at the centre of the star-shaped control cluster, which replaces the single "GO" button found on earlier Beo4 iterations. This allows menu navigation within compatible BeoVision televisions and BeoSystem products directly from the remote, without needing to use the on-screen controls.
Running S.W 7.0, this is a highly capable software version for the navigation button Beo4. The B&O community notes that SW 8.0 added APPLETV as a soft source — all other functions including N.MUSIC, N.RADIO, DVD, DTV, V.MEM, A.MEM, and full light control support are present in SW 7.0. The Beo4 is fully compatible with all Bang & Olufsen audio and video products produced from 1994 onwards, covering BeoVision, BeoSound, BeoCenter, and Beolink multiroom systems.
The die-cast zinc and aluminium construction gives the Beo4 the satisfying weight and feel B&O remotes are known for. This example is in excellent used condition — display clear and bright, all buttons fully responsive, battery compartment clean and corrosion-free.
