The BeoLab 2500 MK2 speakers here carry the ice blue pearlescent metal frets introduced at the end of 2001, which replaced the earlier fabric fronts of the original model. These blue metal frets are among the most sought-after of the five colours produced, and rarely come to market in this condition alongside a matching BeoSound 3000. The BeoSound 3000 is a freestanding FM/AM radio and CD player — an evolution of the Beocenter 2300, with updated electronics, a larger aluminium CD cover, and MasterLink connectivity for multiroom use. The upright format keeps everything visible and accessible: the motorised glass doors slide open on approach, and the CD mechanism, radio controls, and display are all front-facing. It drives the BeoLab 2500 speakers directly via PowerLink, with no external amplifier required. The BeoLab 2500 MK2 are fully active bookshelf speakers, each with two independent Class AB amplifiers — one per driver — and Adaptive Bass Linearisation for extended, controlled bass from a compact cabinet.
The whole system is in immaculate overall condition and comes complete with a Beo4 remote control. This is a complete, self-contained B&O music system — everything needed to connect and play is included.
