The BeoSound 9000 is widely regarded as one of the most iconic objects Bang & Olufsen has ever produced — and arguably one of the most celebrated consumer electronics designs of the twentieth century. Designed by David Lewis and launched in 1996, it placed six CDs openly on display behind a motorised glass lid, treating the act of playing music as something worth watching. Produced for fifteen years across three generations, it remains deeply desirable. This is the MK3 — the final and most refined generation — in UK specification (Type 2572, SW 3.3). The MK3 brought an improved CD mechanism, PIN-code security, and refined glass panel construction. The unit has been internally cleaned and is working perfectly throughout. It comes complete with the original Bang & Olufsen packaging — a significant inclusion that costs in the region of £150 new and is rarely found with used examples.
In otherwise fantastic condition with one very small cosmetic mark — please refer to images. The unit can be mounted vertically or horizontally on the wall, placed on a table, or displayed on a floor stand.
