BeoGram 6500 (Tangential Turntable)
BeoGram 6500 (Tangential Turntable)
The BeoGram 6500 is a direct-drive tangential-tracking turntable from the late 1980s, continuing the Jacob Jensen design philosophy of the earlier BeoGram range. A tangential arm tracks the groove at the geometrically correct angle across the entire record, eliminating tracking error and distortion. The linear motor system moves the arm smoothly and precisely across the disc. B&O turntables of this era output at line level and require an MMC (Moving Micro Contact) cartridge, available from B&O dealers. Connection is via DIN to compatible B&O equipment; a DIN-to-RCA adapter or phono stage with DIN input is required for non-B&O sources. No RIAA equalisation is built in. No MMC cartridge is included.
Good working condition. Sides in good condition. Top aluminium plate has some scratches. Dust cover has marks. Platter has some marks. Confirmed working. No MMC cartridge included.
