The BeoLab Penta was the first loudspeaker Bang & Olufsen built with a power amplifier housed within the cabinet itself — a breakthrough that preceded the fully active speaker principle by several years. Nine drivers are positioned vertically in a pentagonal stainless steel column, 165cm tall: four 130mm woofers, four 80mm midrange units, and a 25mm tweeter, all fed from the BeoLab 150 power amplifier delivering 281W with Dynamic Soft Clipping. The pentagonal cross-section eliminates standing waves and parallel internal reflections, while the polished stainless steel exterior reflects the room rather than imposing itself on it. The MK3 (1991–2000) is identifiable by its green LED display, versus the orange display of MK1 and MK2. These are among the most technically and historically significant B&O speakers ever produced.
Fantastic condition. Light marks on the aluminium bases — more visible in direct lighting but not noticeable in normal conditions. LED displays are bright and correct. Confirmed working — incredible sounding. Collection preferred.
