Launched in 1997 and designed by David Lewis, the BeoLab 4000 is one of B&O’s most versatile compact active speakers. Its elliptical, leaf-shaped cabinet houses a 114mm woofer and 18mm tweeter in a 4-litre bass-reflex enclosure, driven by dedicated Class AB amplification, and connects via PowerLink or RCA line input. The MK1 is the original Class AB version, identifiable by its front power switch. This pair is in a stunning maroon finish — a far rarer sight than the usual black or silver.
An overall clean pair. There are some very small marks on the speakers — nothing major or noticeable. The floor stands have marks on the bases. Floor stands are supplied as standard, or wall brackets or table stands can be supplied instead — please state your preferred option when ordering.
