Launched in 2012, the BeoLab 12-2 is one of the most elegant wall-mount active speakers Bang & Olufsen has produced — designed by David Lewis Designers and engineered specifically for wall-adjacent placement alongside flat-screen televisions and high-performance AV setups. In White, the BeoLab 12-2's gently sculpted aluminium form reads as a discreet design object on the wall: the soft wave of the cabinet disappears into the surface, while the Acoustic Lens at its tip becomes the focal point. These examples are in virtually brand-new condition — and come complete with the original shipping box and new STB wall brackets provided upon purchase. Each speaker houses 320W of ICEpower Class D amplification, driving a 6.5″ CosCone flat woofer — rear-firing against the wall to achieve wide, controlled bass dispersion — and a 3/4″ tweeter topped by B&O's Acoustic Lens Technology. The Acoustic Lens disperses high frequencies in a full 180-degree horizontal arc, eliminating the narrow sweet spot of conventional tweeters and allowing anyone in the room to hear natural, uncoloured treble. The speakers can be mounted with the Acoustic Lens facing either up or down, depending on seated listening height, and a rear-panel three-position switch adapts the acoustic tuning to the physical placement. PowerLink and RCA line inputs are both provided, making the BeoLab 12-2 equally at home with B&O systems and non-B&O sources.
White examples in this condition — with original box and new wall brackets — are increasingly difficult to find. An ideal choice for anyone building or expanding a B&O home cinema or music setup who wants a clean, unobtrusive wall presence without any compromise on acoustic performance.
