Introduced in 1986 as part of Beosystem 5500, the BeoGram 5500 was for all practical purposes the BeoGram 5005 renumbered to match the rest of the system. Jacob Jensen’s tangential arm assembly tracks the groove at the same angle the master was cut, while the deck reads record size and speed automatically before lowering the stylus. Datalink allows the turntable to be operated from a BeoMaster 5500 or Master Control Panel 5500, including full track search. Output is line-level via DIN with no built-in RIAA stage, so a compatible B&O source or an external DIN phono stage is required. An MMC cartridge is required; none is included.
Good overall condition. Marks on the dust cover, to be expected on a deck of this age. The cover is presentable overall but does carry marks. Platter in good condition with some marks. Please inspect the images closely. No MMC cartridge included.
