The BeoAmp 16 is Bang & Olufsen's ultra-compact multizone power amplifier — a 1U rack unit delivering 16 channels of ICEpower Class D amplification across 8 independent zones. Designed primarily for custom whole-home audio installations, it accepts RCA inputs per zone and drives passive speakers via screw terminal outputs, making it ideal for ceiling or in-wall speaker systems throughout multiple rooms. Each pair of channels delivers 80W per channel in stereo mode, or can be bridged to provide 160W mono per zone for higher-demand applications. Individual channels can also be disabled via DIP switches if not all zones are in use. The BeoAmp 16 integrates seamlessly into B&O BeoLink systems — a typical installation pairs it with BeoSound Essence units per zone for full B&O remote control and source management — but it also accepts standard RCA sources from any manufacturer.
Originally retailing at £2,500, the BeoAmp 16 is a rare and capable piece of B&O infrastructure — seldom seen on the used market. Fully tested and working.
